About
"My passion for art and for meeting people naturally led me to art exhibitions. When in 2008 the opportunity arose to give new life to the old bakery in Epesses by opening a gallery, I did not hesitate. After several months of renovation, Galerie Les 3 Soleils opened its doors in January 2009, with an exhibition by Jean-Pierre Magnin. Since then, the old building has proved to be the perfect setting for exhibitions. The gallery also enjoys an exceptional location; Epesses, an idyllic village overlooking Lake Geneva, offers a breathtaking view of Lavaux and its terraced vineyards, recently recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
These extraordinary landscapes have never ceased to inspire generations of artists, and I found it only natural that the gallery should regularly exhibit works capturing something of the soul of this region. My other passion is for glass art, whose richness and diversity are still too little known. I make it a point of honour to permanently display glass artworks, and over the years the gallery has become a privileged exhibition space for this multifaceted art form. It remains, however, open to all forms of visual and pictorial art.
I hope to welcome you soon to the gallery for an artistic and convivial moment!"
Colette Monnier, gallery owner.
